Jackie Jane
2021 · Chardonnay
Aroma
Ripe white peach, Fuji apple, and Meyer lemon zest lead the nose, with a delicate undercurrent of fresh pineapple and honeydew melon. Subtle white flowers, particularly jasmine and acacia blossom, weave through the fruit.
Palate
The wine arrives with a silky, medium-full body and an inviting generosity of texture right from the first sip. Lemon curd and white peach lead the attack, carried by a bright, mouthwatering acidity that keeps the wine focused and alive. Ripe Fuji apple, poached pear, and a hint of fresh pineapple fill out the mid-palate, while crème fraîche and toasted brioche add a creamy richness that speaks to full malolactic fermentation and well-integrated French oak. Hazelnut, vanilla custard, and a whisper of toasted almond weave through the fruit without ever dominating it. A fine, saline minerality threads the entire palate, amplifying the sense of cool-climate place and giving the wine a precision that balances its inherent generosity. The finish is long and satisfying, trailing off with warm citrus zest, ripe stone fruit, and a final lift of clean acidity that leaves the mouth refreshed and reaching for another pour.
