Tasting Notes

Appearance Pale to medium golden-yellow with green-tinged edges. Medium+ body with elegant legs reflecting balanced alcohol and natural acidity.
Nose Delicate yet complex aromatics of white peach, apricot, and Asian pear. Floral notes of acacia, white flowers, and citrus blossom create an elegant bouquet. Subtle hints of lemon verbena, wet stone minerality, and white pepper add refinement.
Palate Beautifully balanced with a silky texture and vibrant acidity. Fresh stone fruit flavors of white peach, nectarine, and apricot dominate. Mid-palate reveals notes of Meyer lemon, honeycomb, and subtle almond. The cooler vintage produces remarkable freshness and precision while maintaining Viognier's characteristic richness.
Finish Crisp and refreshing with lingering stone fruit and floral notes. Hints of citrus zest and minerality add complexity. This vintage showcases Viognier's ability to combine aromatics with elegance and aging potential in cooler years.

Food Pairing

This aromatic Viognier pairs beautifully with:

Seafood & Shellfish Lobster with drawn butter, pan-seared scallops, crab cakes, or grilled prawns with mango salsa
Poultry & Pork Roast chicken with apricot glaze, pork tenderloin with peach chutney, or duck à l'orange
Asian & Spiced Cuisine Thai curry, Vietnamese pho, Moroccan tagine, or Indian butter chicken

Vintage Notes

The 2023 vintage was marked by cooler temperatures and well-timed rainfall, creating ideal conditions for aromatic white wines. The extended growing season allowed for gradual flavor development while preserving natural acidity. Later harvest captured optimal aromatic complexity with lower sugar accumulation. This vintage demonstrates how old vine Viognier can achieve remarkable elegance and aging potential when given a longer, cooler growing season.

Drinking Window

Peak: 2025-2028
The higher acidity and balanced structure suggest excellent aging potential through 2030.
