Tasting Notes

Appearance Brilliant golden-yellow with hints of green at the rim. Medium+ body with viscous legs indicating richness and texture.
Nose Elegant aromatics of ripe Granny Smith apple, ripe pear, and white peach. Notes of lemon curd, vanilla bean, and toasted hazelnut from oak aging. Subtle hints of honeycomb, butter, and baking spices with a whisper of wet stone minerality.
Palate Beautifully balanced with a creamy, rounded texture from barrel fermentation and malolactic conversion. Flavors of green apple, Asian pear, and citrus are complemented by notes of crème brûlée, toasted oak, and subtle tropical fruit. Bright acidity provides structure and freshness.
Finish Long and complex with lingering notes of citrus, vanilla, and subtle minerality. The finish shows excellent integration of fruit, oak, and acidity. This vintage exemplifies classic Russian River Valley Chardonnay with balance and refinement.

Food Pairing

This elegant Chardonnay pairs beautifully with:

Seafood Grilled halibut, seared scallops, lobster bisque, or crab-stuffed sole
Poultry & Light Meats Roast chicken with herbs, turkey breast, veal piccata, or pork chops with apple compote
Cream-Based Dishes Fettuccine Alfredo, risotto with mushrooms, creamy polenta, or butternut squash soup

Vintage Notes

The 2021 vintage in Russian River Valley provided excellent conditions for Chardonnay. Moderate temperatures and coastal fog preserved acidity while allowing for full flavor development. The Dijon Clone 76 vines produced small clusters with concentrated flavors and natural balance. This vintage showcases the terroir's ability to produce Chardonnay with both richness and elegance.

Drinking Window
