Tasting Notes

Appearance Medium straw-yellow with golden highlights. Medium body with slightly more viscosity than typical, reflecting the riper vintage character.
Nose Expressive aromatics of ripe grapefruit, passion fruit, and mango. Notes of Meyer lemon, honeydew melon, and white peach add richness. Hints of lemongrass, fresh herbs, and a subtle tropical quality from the warm vintage.
Palate Rounded and generous with bright acidity. Flavors of tropical fruits dominate - guava, passion fruit, and pineapple - alongside citrus notes of grapefruit and lime. Mid-palate shows ripe stone fruit and subtle herbal character. The warm vintage produces a fuller-bodied, fruit-forward style.
Finish Medium length with persistent tropical fruit and citrus. The acidity remains refreshing despite the riper fruit profile. This vintage showcases Sauvignon Blanc's versatility in warmer years, delivering generosity while maintaining varietal character.

Food Pairing

This crisp Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with:

Seafood & Shellfish Oysters, grilled fish tacos, ceviche, sushi, or steamed mussels with white wine and herbs
Fresh & Light Goat cheese salad, asparagus with lemon, Caesar salad, or fresh spring rolls
Herbs & Citrus Chicken piccata, herb-crusted halibut, lemon risotto, or pesto pasta

Vintage Notes

2022 was a warm, early vintage in Russian River Valley. The heat accelerated ripening and concentrated sugars, resulting in riper fruit with tropical character. Early harvest was critical to preserve acidity and freshness. Despite the warmth, cool morning fog helped maintain the wine's characteristic brightness and prevented loss of aromatics. This vintage demonstrates Sauvignon Blanc's ability to adapt to warmer conditions.
