Tasting Notes

Appearance Deep ruby-garnet with purple highlights. Medium+ body with pronounced legs indicating ripe fruit concentration.
Nose Rich aromatics of dark cherry, raspberry compote, and strawberry jam. Notes of dried rose petals, black tea, and warm spices. Hints of vanilla, toasted oak, and subtle earthiness with a whisper of cola and sandalwood.
Palate Lush and velvety with supple tannins. Concentrated flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, and plum are complemented by notes of baking spices, cocoa, and toasted oak. Mid-palate reveals layers of black tea, dried herbs, and subtle forest floor. The warm vintage produces generous fruit with excellent structure.
Finish Long and expressive with persistent dark fruit and spice. The wine's richness is balanced by integrated acidity and silky tannins. This vintage showcases Russian River Pinot Noir's ability to deliver power and concentration while maintaining elegance.

Food Pairing

This elegant Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with:

Poultry & Game Duck breast with cherry sauce, roasted chicken with herbs, quail, or Cornish hen
Fish & Pork Grilled salmon, seared tuna, pork tenderloin with mushrooms, or braised pork belly
Earthy Dishes Mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, beet salad with goat cheese, or roasted root vegetables

Vintage Notes

2022 was a warm, early vintage in Russian River Valley. Consistent heat through the growing season accelerated ripening and concentrated flavors. Early harvest captured optimal phenolic ripeness while preserving some acidity. The Pommard and Dijon 115 clones produced intensely flavored fruit with excellent color and tannin development. This vintage represents a riper, more powerful expression of the site.

Drinking Window

Peak: 2025-2030
Drinking wonderfully now with its expressive fruit and will age gracefully through 2032.
