Tasting Notes

Appearance Luminous ruby with garnet and orange-brick edges. Medium body with delicate legs reflecting the wine's ethereal, transparent quality.
Nose Delicate and perfumed with fresh red cherry, wild strawberry, and cranberry. Floral notes of violet, rose hip, and hibiscus add complexity. Pronounced earthy character with mushroom, forest floor, wet leaves, and subtle white pepper.
Palate Exceptionally silky with fine-grained, nearly invisible tannins. Bright acidity lifts flavors of red cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate. Mid-palate reveals complex earthy notes - truffle, tea, forest floor - with subtle spice and mineral undertones. The higher percentage of whole cluster adds structure and savory complexity.
Finish Clean and elegant with persistent red fruit and earthy notes. Delicate spice, tea, and mineral nuances linger. This vintage epitomizes cool-climate Pinot Noir with remarkable finesse, transparency, and aging potential. A wine of exceptional purity and terroir expression.

Food Pairing

This elegant Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with:

Poultry & Game Duck breast with cherry sauce, roasted chicken with herbs, quail, or Cornish hen
Fish & Pork Grilled salmon, seared tuna, pork tenderloin with mushrooms, or braised pork belly
Earthy Dishes Mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, beet salad with goat cheese, or roasted root vegetables

Vintage Notes

The 2023 vintage was characterized by cooler temperatures and well-timed rainfall, creating ideal conditions for elegant Pinot Noir. The extended growing season allowed for gradual flavor development while preserving vibrant acidity and delicate aromatics. Later harvest captured optimal phenolic maturity with lower sugar levels. This vintage showcases the Pommard and Dijon 115 clones at their finest, producing wine of remarkable transparency and terroir definition.

Drinking Window

Peak: 2026-2032
Approachable now but the structure and acidity suggest excellent aging potential through 2035.
